Some property owners in New Trier Township are receiving notice of an increase in their 2017 property tax assessment from the Cook County Assessor’s Office. Taxpayers of Winnetka, Kenilworth, Northbrook, Barrington and other northern suburbs — in particular those who successfully appealed their 2016 assessment at the Cook County Board of Review — should check with the New Trier Township Assessor’s Office to verify their 2017 property tax assessment.
