Cook County Property Tax Appeal Deadline for Lake, Hanover, Niles, Palatine, Rich, Schaumburg, Thornton townships

Today is the last day  to file an appeal at the Cook County Board of Review for properties located in the following Cook County townships: Lake (reassessed in 2018), Hanover, Niles, Palatine, Rich, Schaumburg, Thornton. This is the last deadline at the county level for 2018 appeals for the above townships.

2019 Reassessment for North and Northwest suburban townships: Barrington, Elk Grove, Evanston, Hanover, Leyden, Maine, New Trier, Niles, Northfield, Norwood Park, Palatine, Schaumburg and Wheeling

New property values to be published this year by the Cook County Assessor's Office  for the following townships: Barrington, Elk Grove, Evanston, Hanover, Leyden, Maine, New Trier, Niles, Norrthfield, Norwood Park, Palatine, Schaumburg, Wheeling for taxes payable in 2020. The appeal window at the Assessor's Office  is 30 days from the new values publication date

2018 Property Tax Exemptions Applications mailed to Cook County Seniors

Cook County Assessor Fritz Kaegi announced that his office has mailed Senior and Senior Freeze Exemption renewal applications for tax year 2018.  Over 300,000 applications were mailed to seniors who received the exemptions last year.  The application deadline is February 6, 2019 and annual renewal is required.   http://www.cookcountyassessor.com/Office/News.aspx
